Job Description Job Description Benefits: 401(k) matching Opportunity for advancement Training & development Our residential support professionals (RSP) help to enable individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities to achieve their desired quality of life. You will provide continuous care and supports to children in a home environment by assisting in developing the skills needed to live as autonomously as possible while maintaining safety while utilizing client centered supports. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Residential Support Professional is responsible for providing direct care for Intellectual/Developmentally Disabled children with behavior challenges and medical conditions. Duties include but are not limited to: Medication administration Performing nurse delegated tasks Provide assistance with activities of daily living/personal cares Prepare meals according to physician ordered diet plans Assist clients in eating according to ISP/NCP (If applicable) Accurate documentation in accordance with company policies and OARs Knowledge of and implementation of BSP Knowledge of and implementation of ISP and other related client support plans/documents Individualized engagement with creative in-home activities Promoting physical and emotional safety Promoting autonomy as safety allows Accompany clients on outings for community involvement Accompany clients on medical appointments Responding to medical emergencies as needed Responding to behavioral crisis Teaching and encourage positive coping skills in accordance with individualized support plans aimed at family reunification Obtaining client vital signs Facilitating schoolwork and virtual learning All other duties as assigned Soft Skill Job Standards Communicate appropriately with supervisor, co-workers, residents, family members, customers and the public treating all people with dignity and respect, role modeling the treatment of all people with warmth, empathy and genuineness with respect and sensitivity for their privacy, rights, culture, ethnic, religious and lifestyle differences. Provides a dependable method of contact and is quickly responsive when contacted Dependable in remembering meetings, arriving on time or notifying people of inability to do so. Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize, reliably using good judgment Willing to try new things and learn from mistakes.
