enterprises related to agriculture.SummaryThis role promotes and
sells company products to existing and new accounts through direct
customer contacts within assigned geographic regions. Provides
customers with information regarding delivery and service of new
and existing products. Identifies prospective customers and
develops new accounts. Works with marketing department to deliver
results through targeted campaigns while driving incremental sales
volume. Compiles information on market trends to promote products
while developing pro-active sales strategy. Independently plans and
organizes work, schedules sales calls, and submits reports of sales
activities.This role will work with distribution customers to
develop and execute selling strategy. In addition,--will establish
and develop relationships with key management and sales
directors.Key Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and sell product virtually to specific
target segments.
- This position will be expected to gather and report on market
intelligence.
- Works primarily within assigned geographic territory to
increase sales to established client base.
- Manages moderately complex sales accounts and transactions.
Works independently to develop new sales accounts within and beyond
designated sales territory.
- Develop and execute selling strategy to support established
foodservice distribution partner growth and assist with setting up
new secondary market distribution partners.
- Provides timely customer communications regarding quotes, lead
times, account status, or any other customer requests or concerns
of increasing complexity.
- Establish and develop relationships with key management and
sales directors.
- May provide peer mentorship for other inside sales
representatives.Typical EducationBachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.)
from 4 year college or universityRelevant Experience3-5 years
related experience and/or trainingRequired CertificationsOther
InformationThorough knowledge of the company, its customers, its
products and their uses.Distinguishing Features: Individuals at
this level have minimal pricing authority but significant input
into personal and SBU goals and objectives. Some involvement in
activities and issues outside his or her own territory may be
