Both of these shows have a key commonality: they showcased really killer homes that were souped up with the kind of technology that would blow your mind if that technology actually existed in real life. Well, what was only sci-fi in those shows is rapidly becoming real life today. Consumer technology and smart-home systems are evolving at a rapid pace, which means homes being built or renovated today and in the coming years are going to look more and more like those homes in the movies. Apply to join our team today!What would your job look like?Let us answer that by starting with a real high-level look at this role: we are counting on you to both close sales leads and help us execute our current business development strategy. We have a strong sales pipeline, so the primary goal for this role is to help us better manage that pipeline by providing more attention and faster response to customers. Maitland will be focusing attention on selling to long-term key clients, as well as running other parts of the company, which means his bandwidth is stretched across multiple priorities. Which is where you come in. At a high level, your role would focus upon:

  • selling and managing projects for new and existing customers;
  • internalizing and learning our current business development strategy, and uncovering ways to modify or expand it; We currently have a good mix of revenue coming in from existing clients and from new clients. We are looking for someone who is a hybrid between hunter and farmer, with a little more emphasis on the hunter. As such, you would give our current pipeline a lot of attention and look for new and innovative ways to expand it. We focus primarily on residential projects, so the client experience needs to be top-notch. Your typical week would look something like this:
    • youll be the primary point of contact for any new prospective clients with projects;
    • youre regularly checking in on our existing clients and looking for opportunities to expand our business with them;
    • youll help clients bring clarity and organization to their technology dreams by collaborating with our team to create proposals built around those dreams;
    • youll manage the entire process leading a client through the consultation and sale, transition them to our Project Manager, and make sure they have been successfully handed off to our Service Team at the end of that pipeline;
    • youll spend time looking for creative ways to expand your and our companys network within our market - establishing and deepening relationships with builders and other members of the general home industry within our metro area.What should you bring to the table?
      • 3-5 years of experience in sales and client management experience. Bonus points if your experience is in one of the following fields:
      • Home Automation, Audio/Video or Integration systems (strongly preferred);
      • Construction, Design or Architectural industry;
      • Luxury products or services
      • A degree is a nice bonus, but not required
      • Demonstrated ability to manage a sales funnel process to get to a yes;
      • Demonstrated proficiency with Apple products, mobile apps, and typing skills;
      • An ability to take ownership of our business development strategy by balancing the ability to think strategically against the need to also execute tactically;
      • A willingness to take on as your own, the companys core values, purpose, cause and passion;
      • A positive attitude, ability to excel under pressure, and a willingness to hold yourself accountable;
      • A natural passion for developing professional relationships within the design/build community and with potential/existing clients; and,
      • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.What do we bring to the table?
        • Base salary: $20-40k + commission structure, depending upon experience
