Job Description:
This position is responsible for assistance in managing customer
credit accounts and evaluating, processing, and deciding credit
applications for credit privileges at Western States Equipment.
This role also monitors and updates existing credit accounts
according to the Credit Policy and assists the Credit Manager with
assigned credit responsibilities. Overall, this position is
responsible for providing excellent service to customers, external

an organization.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: SafetyActively cares,
promotes, manages, and advocates safety at Western States. As a
leader and team member in the organization, it is critical to
ensure all employees, vendors, and clients have a safe work
environment while adhering to all applicable safety policies,
procedures, and standards.Maintains clean/clutter free personal
work areas to ensure safe environments for all WSECO
employees.Adhering to required personal protective equipment (PPE)
as identified in safety policy. Administration and Customer
ManagementReviews incoming credit applications for proper
signatures, requests credit bureau reports, obtains bank and trade
references as needed, and conducts thorough research on
customers.Analyzes customer credit applications to assess credit
worthiness and establishes appropriate customer credit limits for
new accounts within policy guidelines.Reviews customer orders on
credit hold for release or cancellation.Manages assigned customer
accounts for administration and enforcement of credit and
collection policies.Calls on assigned customers for collection when
needed via telephone, email, and letters.Records information about
financial status of accounts and status of collection
efforts.Updates assigned customers' accounts and files periodically
to ensure accurate files and credit terms.Runs credit card payments
for call in customers.Establishes and maintains relationships with
external and internal customers and provides assistance with any
issues that may arise.Reporting and AnalysisProvides customer
credit reference information to other companies upon
request.Prepares accurate credit/risk reports and account analysis
for division and management review.Assists in filing and searching
Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) documents and mechanic liens as
needed.Reconciles assigned customer accounts.Verifies tax status of
customer accounts and reviews address corrections/changes.Provides
notary services to Western States.Works within, communicates, and
promotes corporate and department strategy, vision, mission, and
values.Adheres to all customer care standards.Actively cares and
advocates safety at Western States and adheres to all applicable
safety policies, procedures and standards.May accomplish training
and serve as a team member in support of Western States' strategic
programs, projects, and initiatives.Works within and promote
corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization.Performs
other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Basic
knowledge, skills and abilities, behavioral attributes, and
experience to contribute to the administration of the credit
function and ensure compliance with established policies,
procedures, laws and regulations.Thorough knowledge of and
demonstrated ability to apply math computation skills.Exceptional
customer service and relationship-building skills.Must be
self-starter with a strong sense of urgency to meet the challenges
of a fast-paced business environment.Consistent
attendance.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Proof of high school diploma or
General Education Degree (GED).Bachelor's Degree in a finance
discipline preferred.0-1 year of experience with a Bachelor's
degree or 2 years minimum experience required without a Bachelor's
degree.Work experience must be in credit, customer services,
collections, and/or financial statement analysis.Previous work
experience must be progressively increasing in responsibility and
accountability and demonstrate an ability to gain knowledge, skills
and responsibility such that a level of full competency can be
reached.Requires fundamental knowledge of finance and accounting,
analytical skills, excellent customer service skills, and
experience with various types of software programs, including
spreadsheets and general ledger systems.Must be able to communicate
(speak, read, comprehend, write in English) in person and via
telephone.PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:Must be able to sit for long
periods of time along with walking, standing, climbing stairs,
reaching pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting.Must be able to
meet all safety requirements for applicable safety
