Job Description:

OverviewTrack Utilities is currently seeking talented and motivated Engineer level candidates to join our Engineering team based out of our Meridian, ID office. This position is responsible for the fielding and designing of transmission and distribution designs utilizing the latest industry software systems. The perfect candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, great communication skills, excellent customer service skills, uses advanced techniques & theory, precepts and practices to complete complex project assignments. They will adapt and modify standard techniques to solve multifaceted problems and provide expert consultation for the design, development and implementation of technical plans and systems used in the construction of transmission and distribution designs. They will be expected and responsible for facilitating collaboration between customer and all parties involved, other disciplines and project team members, will act as client contact to determine the project scope and understand their requirements, develop construction documents for the transmission line and other work assignments. ResponsibilitiesAbility to read, understand, and prepare drawings, diagrams, and other documents.Ability to prepare comprehensive written and oral reports of findings, problems, and solutions.Experience and knowledge with electric distribution overhead and underground design, maintenance and standards preparation.Experience and knowledge with New Development/Subdivision design.Maintains positive client relationships.Independently completes assigned tasks on time, and actively manages individual workload.Effectively assists in training and mentoring team members.Responsible for reviewing project drawings, calculations & specifications.Demonstrate wide degree of creativity and flexibility.Collaborate with multi-discipline team to ensure project success.Must be analytical, self-motivated, and possess the ability to work alone, in a team environment, and in variety of situations while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic attitude.Highly driven toward customer & team success, and professional growth.Excellent presentation and verbal/written communications skills.Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, clients, and external agencies.Adherence and compliance with regulations as required by NERC, NESC, OSHA, FCC, EPA, WECC, FERC, etc… etc…Strong work ethics with attention to details, quality, schedule and budgets.QualificationsExperience:Recent/previous experience working for a power company.Minimum of 7 years engineering experience activities.A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering.PE or EIT license preferred but not required.Experienced in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access), AutoCAD and/or RevitGeneral knowledge of engineering principles.Proficiency in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE preferred, or other industry software.Knowledge and experience with O-Calc Pro and O-Calc LE pole loading softwareAdditional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Idaho Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment.Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks, a Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated physical as a requirement of the job and pass a pre-employment drug screen.Must have authorization to work in the US.Travel 10% -20%
