Apply Engineering principles to design, validateand integrate
electrical systems and components used in school and commercialbus
applications that set the industry benchmark for safety,
performance,reliability and cost.
- Apply electrical engineering techniques and principles to
design school bus electrical systems.
- Ensure projects are cost-effective, functionally/electrically
sound, friendly to down-stream departments, and compliance with
FMVSS, CMVSS, and state regulations.
- Effectively communicate information to team.
- Research state-of-the-art developments in the vehicle industry
and apply the latest advances to develop low cost solutions.
- Create and test feature parameters in a simulation environment
for electrical systems required by databook options.
- Use Pro-Engineer and Teamcenter to develop 3D models,
installation drawings, schematics and bills of materials.
- Support production, warranty reduction and field service
corrective actions with reliable, serviceable, low cost
- Foster strong internal relationships with Manufacturing, Field
Service, Quality, Purchasing, and other departments.
- Interface with Test Group personnel to prototype new systems,
perform development testing and apply test results to new
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
Bachelors Degreefrom an accredited university/college with 1
year of related experience OR anAssociates Degree with 2 years
ofrelated experience or 6 years of related experience required
Experience withCAN communication/J1939 network protocols
An attached resume is required
Typical Minimum Experience Preferred (Desired
A degreefocus in Electrical Engineering preferred
Experienceanalyzing network communications using CANoe
Experience withMatlab/Simulink p referred
Prior experiencewith 3D CAD software preferred
Prior experience with PLM software developingB.O.M preferred
