POSTED POSITION: Accounting/Customer Service Clerk

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Including, but not limited to the following:

Accounting Clerk:
1. Analyze selected General Ledger accounts in terms of sales, grosses, discrepancies and compare to projections for the quarter.
2. Prepare purchase card and expense invoice transmittals on a weekly and monthly basis.
3. Prepare and publish weekly and daily distribution managerial reports.
4. Correspond with vendors in writing and via telephone about various deductions that have been processed.
5. Analyze and maintain inventory valuations and costing reports.

Customer Service Clerk
1. Answer incoming phone calls with prompt and courteous customer service and direct to the appropriate department.
2. Receive retail store calls and assist with store issues regarding shipments, invoicing, retails, item numbers, warehouse selection errors and inventory problems.
3. Monitor Customer Service email and respond to them in a timely manner.
4. Maintain daily log of store calls.

SKILLS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

High school education or equivalent and two years of basic office skills preferred.

Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft office applications. Basic knowledge of Excel required.

Possess a basic understanding of accounting principles, procedures, terminology and practices. Previous accounting experience required preferably with the Parent Company.

Possess ability to work with minimum supervision, good organizational skills, and attention to detail.

Possess good math skills and aptitude. Position requires use of calculators, personal computers, telephones and other office equipment.

Possess good oral and written communication skills, both with co-workers and over the telephone with outside and company personnel.

Work is performed under normal office working conditions in a temperature-controlled environment. Incumbent may sit for long periods of time (generally an 8-hour shift) at a desk or computer terminal.
