License: Yes Certifications: ARRT, BLS Certification Must-Have:
Varian True Beam Experience, ARIA proficiency Description: The
candidate will be responsible for providing radiation therapy
treatments. Must be able to float to other locations as needed.
General certification requirements include BLS and ARRT-Radiation
Therapy. The department has multiple linear accelerators and CT
simulators. The candidate may need to cover other areas depending
on the demand. Common types of imaging and studies performed
include 3D, IMRT, SBRT, and SRT/SRS. CT simulation may be performed
on occasion. A minimum of 2-3 years of radiation therapy experience
is required. Proficiency with ARIA (EMR to record and verify) is
necessary. Experience with Epic and Trilogy is preferred. The
average number of scans/studies performed is 20-40 per day
depending on the site. Each shift will have at least 2 treating
therapists. The department uses Varian, Siemens, and Toshiba
equipment. A supervisor or lead will be available during each shift
for support. The candidate should preferably have IV experience.
Shifts are scheduled Monday to Friday with variable start times.
Travelers are expected to be flexible to accommodate staffing
needs. No weekend or holiday requirements are present. Scrubs
should be clean and neat, of any color or appropriate pattern.
Department-specific orientation will be provided. The charting
system used is Epic. Trauma Level and care setting information are
