This position requires detailed knowledge of radiation therapy procedures, patient care, and safety protocols, ensuring optimal treatment efficacy and patient comfort. Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment according to established practices and standards. Conduct simulation sessions to determine the exact location of the area requiring treatment. Collaborate with radiologists to plan treatment programs and develop treatment plans. Monitor patients' physical condition to detect unusual reactions to treatment. Maintain detailed records of treatment sessions, doses, and equipment settings. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations in the handling of radiation and radioactive materials. Proficiency in handling and operating radiation therapy equipment. Strong understanding of radiation protection and safety guidelines. Excellent patient management skills to communicate treatment processes and reassure patients. Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
