qualified Telemetry RN in Meridian, Idaho, 83642! Pay Information
$1,951 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift:
12 Hours Days Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience:
Minimum 2 years as a Telemetry Nurse License: Valid Nursing License
required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must have
experience in cardiac drips. Experience with NIH stroke
assessments, post-cath recovery, and chest tube management.
Telemetry nurse experience required. Description: The department
consists of a telemetry unit with 27 beds, with an expansion
planned for an additional 10 beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio is
1:4. Common diagnoses include CHF, NSTEMI, STEMI, stroke, sepsis,
diabetes, CAD, renal failure, respiratory failure, pneumothorax,
and post-catheterization lab patients. Nurses are not required to
pull sheaths but should ideally have experience with TR bands and
Fem stops. There are telemetry technicians available on the floor
until June, after which services will be centralized off-site.
Registered Nurses are required to read and document telemetry data
every 6 hours. Currently, we utilize SpaceLab monitors and are
transitioning to Philips monitors. Charge nurses and house
supervisors are present and do not take patients. Nursing aides are
on the unit with a ratio of 1:8 or 1:9. Respiratory therapists
manage CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow equipment. Registered Nurses will
be required to float to like units and medical/surgical units as
needed. Testing of experience is also mandatory if floating to ICU.
Uniforms should be clean, well-kept, and professional. Travelers
must be flexible with scheduling, including weekend and holiday
shifts. There is no call or standby requirement. Please note that
