Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job ID: T4H - 914 Job Title: Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Days) Location: Meridian, ID Unit: Telemetry Shift: Days – 3x12-hour shifts (07:00–19:30) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Contract Length: 13 weeks License to Submit: Yes BSN Required: Yes Radius Rule: Candidates must live 50 miles from the facility (permanent address must be provided) Unit Information: - Unit Type: Telemetry - Beds: 27 beds (expanding to 37 in June) - Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4 - Support Staff: Nurse Aides (1:8/9 ratio), Charge Nurse, House Supervisor - Telemetry Techs: On-floor until June, then centralized off-site - Charting System: Epic (EpicCare Inpatient – EMR) - Monitors: SpaceLab (transitioning to Philips) - Scrub Color: Any (must be clean, well-kept, and professional) Required Experience: - Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience - Cardiac drip experience (e.g., set-rate diltiazem, amiodarone) - NIH stroke assessment experience - Post-cath recovery and chest tube management - Must be comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry strips every 6 hours Required Certifications: - BLS (Basic Life Support) - ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale Certification) Patient Population & Common Diagnoses: - CHF, NSTEMI/STEMI, Stroke, Sepsis, Diabetes - CAD, Renal Failure, Respiratory Failure, Pneumothorax - Post-cath lab recovery (experience with TR bands and FemStops preferred) Equipment & Support: - RT-managed equipment: CPAP, BiPAP, High-flow oxygen - No titration of drips required on the unit - Common drips: Amiodarone, Diltiazem (set-rate only) Scheduling & Float Information: - Weekend Requirements: Yes – travelers fill in staffing needs - Holiday Requirements: Yes – travelers fill in needs - Call/Standby: Not required - Floating: May float to Med/Surg or like units within this facility or sister facilities (Boise or Nampa Medical Center). ICU float if experienced - Scheduling Flexibility: Block scheduling not offered. Shift requests considered but priority is meeting unit needs.
