Job Title: Mammography Technologist Profession: Radiologic Technologist Specialty: Breastcare Services Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in mammography License: Required Certifications: ARRT, BLS Must-Have: 3-4 years of experience in mammography Completed at least 1-2 contracts Description: Department: Radiology - Mammography General certification requirements include BLS. ARRT and Mammography certification are required. Experience with both screening and diagnostic procedures is essential. Common imaging procedures include standard screenings, implants, and 4D mammograms. Diagnostic breast scans and related procedures may be performed. Staff will not float between screening and diagnostic areas. The average number of diagnostic scans is 14 per day. Screening scans range from 18-25 depending on the shift length. EMR utilized is Epic. PACS system in use is Change. Department specific equipment includes Hologic for screenings and diagnostics. A lead technician is available but may not be onsite. Screens are batch read with images reviewed and reported out later. IV starts are not required in this role. Shifts vary, with no weekend or holiday requirements. Scrubs may be any color, provided they are clean and professional. There are 2-3 shifts of unit-specific orientation.
