Job Title: Mammography Technologist Profession: Radiology

of 12 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years in
mammography, including completion of 1-2 contracts License:
Required Certifications: ARRT, BLS, Mammography certification
Must-Have: Must have 3-4 years of experience in mammography. Must
have completed at least 1-2 contracts in the field. Description:
This position involves working in a radiology department that
provides mammography services. The department performs both
screening mammograms and diagnostic imaging. Screening includes
standard procedures, as well as provision for patients with special
needs. Diagnostic duties may involve breast scans and procedures.
The average number of diagnostic scans is approximately 14 per day,
with each scan scheduled every 30 minutes. Screening averages range
from 18-21 in an 8-hour shift and 21-25 in a 10-hour shift.
Department equipment includes Hologic machines used for both
screening and diagnostic purposes. Shift times for screening
include 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with various 8-hour shift schedules. No
weekend or holiday requirements apply to this position. Scrubs can
be of any color, provided they are clean and professional.
Unit-specific orientation will occur over 2-3 shifts in addition to
general orientation. No IV starts or call requirements are expected
for this role.
