M-Th while rotating on call every fourth or fifth week (call does
require weekend work). Approximately 80 hours per pay period.Call:

500 provider multispecialty group that has an excellent opportunity
for an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) who is committed to a
multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care and who is willing
to support the growth of an orthopedic practice as part of a
dedicated orthopedic program.Responsibilities include co-management
of the orthopedic patient in collaboration with the patient's
primary orthopedic surgeon. - This involves direct management of
the patient including, but not limited to, the following exams,
procedures and services: - multiple joint injections, casting,
pre-operative history and physicals, surgical assisting,
post-operative follow up, and management of both acute conditions
as well as chronic, non-surgical conditions. - The advanced
practice provider would be responsible for ordering, interpreting
and evaluating laboratory and diagnostic data, prescribing
medications, and developing a treatment plan.The qualified
candidate will exude passion about orthopedic health issues and
demonstrate evidence of comprehensive assessment skills, expert
clinical skills and problem-solving abilities. The provider must
hold a valid controlled substance registration with both the Idaho
Board of Pharmacy and the DEA. - The desirable candidate will also
have prior healthcare experience in a clinic setting.Support: -New
APP will join a team of 5 full-time PA's and a sports med provider
who support 4 surgeons from general orthopedics, sports medicine,
foot & ankle and spine surgery. Surgeries are performed at Saint
Alphonsus Medical Center - Nampa.Requirements:
- Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
medical license in Idaho; valid controlled substance registration
with Idaho; Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
- strong medical background and a desire to develop a practice to
