This position is located at the Eagle Health Plaza, off of Highway 44. About this Position: This position will primarily support a brand new NP provider to Saint Alphonsus who will work with Internal Medicine and Geriatrics primary care patients. This clinic boasts a very positive, fun, and team-oriented environment in a very nice clinic location! In this role you will also support MAs and other providers when needed and for cross training. At this clinic you may perform POC testing, immunizations, rooming, vitals, med refills, patient calls and triage, and assisting with minor procedures when needed.An ideal candidate will enjoy working with the older population, is confident, easy-going, reliable, and flexible. You will also enjoy developing relationships with patients and you are dedicated and committed to providing the best patient care!Also, this clinic is unique in that it is a patient-centered medical home (PCMH) where the clinic acts as a care team model that is responsible for the patient's physical and mental health care needs, including prevention and wellness, acute care, and chronic care. The patient population tends to be older and has chronic conditions so visits tend to be scheduled for 30 minutes and 60 minutes for new patients. Work Schedule: This position will work 40 hours per week, Mondays - Fridays, around the hours of 7:00am - 5:00pm. About Internal Medicine: For patients with complex medical needs, many see tremendous health benefitswhen establishing a regular relationship with an internal medicine provider. In addition to health promotion and disease prevention, Saint Alphonsus internal medicine providers are specially trained to diagnose and treat chronic and complex conditions, oftencaring for patients with more than one disease. Our physicians work closely with our certified nurse practitioners (NP-C) to coordinatetreatment and allow for easier accessto follow upappointments- including annual wellness visits and procedures. Learn more about Internal Medicine at Eagle Health Plaza: About the Geriatrics Program: The Saint Alphonsus Geriatrics Program provides a comprehensive and compassionate approach to patients dealing with cognitive impairments and chronic conditions. Our team of healthcare professionals, including a physician, pharmacist, and social worker, work closely with the patient and their family to provide the tools and education to help the patient age gracefully and prolong their independence as long as possible. • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
  • American Medical Technologists (RMA)
  • National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
  • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire General Requirements :
    • Previous clinical experience preferred.
    • Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus.
