POSITION TITLE: Level II Technician, Splicing CLASSIFICATION:
Non-Exempt POSITION OVERVIEW: ADB is a Nationwide full turnkey
provider of technology infrastructure solutions including Wireline,
Wireless, Technology, Critical Infrastructure, and Engineering. Our

Level II Technician, Splicing, to perform mid-level splicing on a
variety of underground, aerial, and ISP projects nationwide. The
Splicing Technician has the technical knowledge, skills and
experience to perform core splicing functions within the
telecommunications industry. The ideal candidate will be customer
and quality centric, have a complete buy-in to safety, with a
strong work ethic, and ALL IN attitude to achieve results. ROLES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs mid-level splicing functions for
aerial, underground, and ISP cable routing on various projects
Advanced ability to read and interpret construction prints,
drawings, and splice matrixes to ensure customer requirements are
fulfilled Ability to determine equipment needs, cable route, cable
direction, safety best practices, and perform splicing functions
within a live customer facility Independently and safely performs
mid-sheath cable entry using proper tools Performs mid-level single
and/or ribbon splices with the understanding large cable count
numbering Ability to read/process test results and problem solve
basic issues identified during troubleshooting Proficient in
mid-level OTDR and power meter testing Ability to install and/or
research installation procedures for all splice enclosures Performs
basic cable relocations and hot cuts while maintaining cable
organization Effectively communicates with internal (training
peers) and external stakeholders (customers, subcontractors, etc.),
addressing issues as they arise and offering customer-centric
solutions Responds timely to critical situations and emergency
outages with an appropriate level of urgency Maintains full
understanding of safety risks while working in a safety sensitive
position, adhering to all safety requirements and standards

variety of physical positions like sitting, squatting, standing,
walking, climbing, etc. May be exposed to uncomfortable or
distracting sounds or noise levels while onsite When working on
site, will be required to wear common protective of safety
equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard
hats, and steel toed boots EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION : 1-5 years of
experience performing fiber optic cable splicing projects required
OSHA 10 certification (or ability to acquire within 6 months)
required First-aid and/or CPR certifications preferred Valid driver
license with the ability to obtain a DOT medical card required High
school diploma or equivalent required The minimum starting pay for
this position is $23.00 per hour and may vary based on the
candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications. ADB Companies,
