Sales is focused on driving strategic sales initiatives for Lamb
Weston---s Retail Business Unit. Utilizing their expertise in CPG
sales, this individual will help guide retail innovation for the
company at a national account level. By doing so this role will be
crucial in maximizing Lamb Weston---s position as a progressive
category leader within the frozen retail space, and ultimately
influencing the rate of exponential growth in this innovative and
dynamic category. Through long range planning and oversight of the
sales operations group this individual will turn data into
meaningful insights, developing a strategic direction for the
Retail Business Unit. A key performance indicator for this senior
level manager is ownership of both creation and oversight of the
Annual Trade budget. JOB DESCRIPTION: Utilize category knowledge,
data driven insights, and sales expertise within the CPG market to
create and develop, a strategy for the annual trade budget, in
collaboration with field teams. Lead long-range planning within the
retail category as well as review meetings with customers;
assisting with new brand-based initiatives. Manage the Sales
Operations and support teams overseeing sales reporting. Develop
scorecards and tools which continuously drive sales decision-making
to produce break-through results on the top and bottom line. Direct
responsibility for branded and private label volume. Collaborate
with Category Leadership Group to develop account level
distribution targets, sales volume quotas, and new products and
line extensions. Work closely with the Marketing Team on execution
strategies for new item launches and line extensions, as well as
building successful solution selling tools for sales. Interact with
cross-functional teams within Lamb Weston as well providing subject
matter expertise for strategic customers, and providing account
headquarter support when needed. Apply payments/claims within the
trade spend system utilized, approving payments to close those
events for processing. DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Bachelor---s degree in
Sales, Business, Marketing, or Finance preferred. Must have a
working knowledge of National level customer base within
Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry. 7 years retail sales
experience; preferably with branded products and/or food industry
exposure. Strong working knowledge of developing a strategy for
developing and maintaining trade budgets, including forecasting and
annual planning. Prior experience leading a team; either formally
or informally. Exceptional communication and follow through skills
with proven ability to cross-collaborate within many areas of the
business --- including but not limited to Marketing, Sales,
Finance, and Leadership groups. Must be able to provide expertise
acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to both customers and to
internal groups regarding retail category management, trends,
promotions, display and consumer insights. In-depth expertise with
a variety of technologies and tools, including Microsoft Office
Suite with particular emphasis on Excel and including Access;
syndicated data sources (IRI, Nielsen, SPINS); ability to work with
raw retailer data, e.g. POS, FSP. Exposure to space management
software and audit systems are preferred. Comfortable with travel
expectations of 25-30%, on up (dependent on location and business
